Wikipedia

Since I've been in college I have not really used Wikipedia's website. My teachers have forbid it as a reliable source for research papers simply since anyone with access to the internet can update and change some of the content. Although today the site has enough people checking the pages often enough anything untrue or ridiculous would not stay up for too long, people still look down on the site's credibility. Even though the website has taken the necessary steps to make it more trustworthy, Im not sure how they can change the stereotype that seems stuck to the webpages.

The only time I do use the site is for personal reasons: if I'm curious about a certain person, event, place, or whatever that is not for scholastic reasons I will sometimes click on wikipedia's definition. I probably on average only use the site once or twice a month.
